The Children's Ministry Team welcomes you and your family to Oakland Baptist Church!
We strive to provide a safe, welcoming environment for children so they can know, love and follow Jesus Christ. OBC Children's Ministry is offered for children through 5th grade; we do provide a Nursery Ministry for younger children. All programs include active learning methods set in a fun and safe environment.

Our children's ministry exists to SHARE Christ with the kids of the community, to CONNECT each child with other Christian kids and adults, to help them GROW in their faith, and to challenge their growth through SERVING others and HONORING God with their lives.
Parents can register their children on Sundays at 9:45 AM in the Fellowship Hall for an hour featuring large group and small group time, videos, praise and workshop and lots of learning activities. Our goal is to grow each child’s relationship with Jesus Christ.
OAKLAND KIDS CONNECT
Oakland Kids Connection is the children’s ministry program at Oakland Baptist Church. Oakland Kids Connection is made up of various activities including: Sunday School at 9:00-9:45 AM for nursery-age up to 5th grade. Our Sunday School uses a church wide curriculum called Bible Studies for Life so children experience the same worship experience as their parents.
THE CONNECTION ZONE
The Connection Zone is our Sunday morning Children’s Church. The Connection Zone builds on the materials covered in Sunday School, providing reinforcement of the lesson. Children and parents can then share the worship experience through discussion following the Sunday service.
The Connection Zone is from 9:45 AM to 11:00 AM each Sunday Morning in the Fellowship Hall for grades K- 3rd grade and in the Nursery for the younger children.
TEAMKID
TEAMKID is offered on Wednesday evenings from 6:30 PM to 7:30 PM in the Fellowship Hall. TeamKID is for children ages 3 years to 5th grade; it is a high-energy ministry that encourages children to grow in their knowledge and relationship with Jesus through Bible stories, music, missions, and Scripture memory.
TeamKid is offered to current members and visitors attending Wednesday evening services.
